Abstract
Road and urban accidents are one of the important factors of death and severe injuries to life and property, and its heavy economic and life effects have always threatened mankind. One of the most effective things that can be used as a suitable solution in reducing accidents, violations and increasing safety in driving is the accurate identification of parameters affecting accidents and their effectiveness. The purpose of this research is to prioritize the factors that influence the occurrence of traffic accidents Using the Analytical Hierarchy (AHP) method, the importance of each of these factors in the occurrence of accidents and their prioritization was investigated. For this purpose, after collecting the opinions of experts in this field, different criteria were examined in the form of pairwise comparisons. Then, the importance coefficients of each criterion were calculated based on the experts' opinions. The findings of the quantitative section indicate that haste and unnecessary acceleration is 0.273, fatigue and sleepiness is 0.112, working hours and service time is 0.109, technical defects (lighting system, brakes and smoothness of tires) is 0.08, characteristics Physical (length, dimensions, width and height) 0.073, mechanical characteristics (acceleration, braking and brake line length) 0.059, lack of technical examination and ineffectiveness of the vehicle 0.048, slippery road due to snowfall and Rain 0.047, driver efficiency and skill level 0.041, weak road lighting system at night 0.041, non-standard road surface (difference in surface, potholes and deformation) 0.037, lack of unit management in traffic matter 0.028. Non-standard geometric designs (turns, uphill and downhill) 0.022, lack of safety equipment on the side of the road (guardrails and bumpers) 0.021, defects in signs and signs 0.011 were among the factors affecting intercity road accidents. The factors related to Tehran Karaj freeway accidents, i.e. three cases of human factors, environment and surrounding road and factors related to the vehicle, human factors were of great importance. For this reason, it can be concluded that the most important work to reduce accidents related to this important axis of the country is culture building and also training drivers to reduce their violations. Other things to reduce these accidents include monitoring and enforcing the law more.
