Optimizing Gasoline Distribution Network in Iran

Abstract

The goal of this research is to determine the gasoline transport capacity from ports of the country and local refinaries to different destination throughout the country. We want to determine optimalization alternative for the gasoline transport capacity from to each specified destination, by using the transshipment model. The goal is to minimize transport expenses from sending gasoline from 3 source to 78 destination, using 46 intermediate points and 6076 decision variables (transport direction) to achieve this Goal we are confronted with demand and supply restriction and simplicity of use and none-negative of portable gasoline capacity. Refering to results obtained, the expenses of 78% gasoline transport by pipe-line was 67%, and for road transport of 20%, it was 27% of total gasoline transport expenses. Share of transfor by ship for 2.2%, will be an expense equal to 4% .
