Abstract

Accidents in the transportation system, especially vehicles with natural gas fuel during refueling, are a serious problem. Accidents, especially the explosion of the tank of these cars, have caused concern at different levels of society. With a dynamic view of the mentioned issue in Iran and important surveys such as; the number of accidents, deaths and annual damages caused by it can be more understood. In general, CNG incidents have various and a multidimensional or multifaceted issue has its own complexities. The purpose of this study is to design a cause-cause model of natural gas fueled vehicle accidents in Iran with system dynamics. First, after stating the cause of the issue over time, according to the background and interviews conducted, four main categories as factors or important and influential factors are determined based on the factors that form each of the changes, the relationships of the causes. In this regard, the investigated system is divided into subsystems or main parts, and for each part or subsystem, a causal loop is provided. At the end of the research, the strategic policies of improving the main behaviors of the system to reduce accidents in this area of the transportation system are proposed to activate or set up a trustee organization called the CNG industry leader organization.
