Iran, due to its location at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, the Middle East, and along the five main transit and international transportation corridors, has great advantages and potential in the field of logistics and can have a large part of the region's logistics income; however, according to the latest World Bank report, Iran's ranking in the Logistics Performance Index in recent years also indicates Iran's weak performance in this area. The main objective of this research is to develop the performance of logistics centers, which is related to the factors affecting the development of the logistics transportation sector in the Inche-Borun border logistics region located in Golestan province.

The research method is analytical-descriptive, which actually uses multi-criteria decision-making methods and in order to consider the limitations and possibilities to determine development strategies, the AHP analytical hierarchy process model and the SWOT matrix were also used.

For this purpose, numerous and related factors were examined and divided into several major factors, so a paired comparison questionnaire was developed and distributed and collected according to the available statistical sample among experts in the field of transportation, road and transportation, shipping, industries, etc. After analyzing the results of the questionnaires in the software, the criteria were evaluated, and finally, considering the identification of limitations and possibilities, a series of strategies and tactics were presented for the development of the transportation sector in the Incheh Boron border logistics area in Golestan province with a special focus on rail transportation.
