Fault tree analysis is considered as one of the most effective methods of risk assessment. In this analysis, reasons attributed to the occurrence of an undesired event are specified in graphical form using logical gates. In several cases including construction industry, determining the possibility of an undesired event is so difficult or even impossible, due to the limited availability of data. In this condition, using fuzzy arithmetic operations which are computationally simple and does not require any detailed empirical information can be applied as useful tools. In this article, analysis approach of fault tree based on fuzzy logic is used to firstly evaluate major reasons related to stop risk occurrence, at the time when some construction activities of bridge constructing are executed to identify the appropriate risk mitigation strategies and then to estimate the probability of mitigation strategies failure in order to improve the strategies. Such method can cause more effective management of managers in projects by reducing or eliminating the major causes.
