One of the most important issues in urban management is the organization of urban transportation. This issue is complex and important due to various economic, environmental, social, etc. effects. The issue of transportation in Yazd is a serious issue to study due to the existence of traditional and valuable context along with the new context, inactivity of the people and the increase in the resulting disease due to increased use of private vehicles as well as weakening cycling culture. Therefore, this study seeks to investigate this issue by identifying options and indicators to examine it in order to prioritize practical solutions for the development of public transportation, cycling and walking. Research method This research is based on descriptive-analytical method and data collection method is based on documentary and field method. In other words, first, through library study (documentary method) and qualitative analysis, options and indicators have been identified using MAXQDA software. Then, through group interviews with experts (field method), their prioritization has been done using AHP method and Expert Choice software. The results showed that among 8 practical solutions (cycling revitalization, pedestrian promotion, promotion of common car use systems, monorail development, BRT development, taxi expansion, metro construction, bus system expansion) and based on indicators (urban beauty, safety and Safety, health, travel time, traffic, pollution, need for parking, cost for people, flexibility, fit with city policy and culture, passenger mobility, comfort and convenience, accessibility and cost for the municipality) Priority and development BRT has the lowest priority.
