The increasing number of private vehicles and the shortage of parking spaces in metropolitan areas, especially in central streets, have led to several urban problems such as traffic congestion, time loss, air pollution, and decreased citizen satisfaction. Masjed Seyed Street in Isfahan is not an exception to this situation and, due to its specific location and functional importance, it faces serious challenges in managing on-street parking. One of the modern solutions to address this issue is the implementation of smart on-street parking systems. By using new technologies, such systems can play an effective role in improving traffic flow and enhancing urban quality of life. This study investigates the feasibility of implementing a smart on-street parking system on Masjed Seyed Street using a descriptive–analytical approach. Both library-based and field methods were applied. Data were collected through a questionnaire survey completed by 106 citizens. The collected data were analyzed in SPSS using statistical techniques including factor analysis, a one-sample t-test, and multivariate regression. The findings indicate a high level of public acceptance toward deploying this system. The results also suggest that implementing smart on-street parking on Masjed Seyed Street is feasible from both traffic and social perspectives. It can contribute to reducing traffic load, saving time spent searching for available parking spaces, and improving urban order and safety. However, the full realization of this plan requires the development of appropriate technological infrastructure, integrated urban management, and step-by-step implementation planning to ensure effective and sustainable outcomes.
